Numbers
The numbers of tennis are impressive. It is the sport with the highest growth in the last 5 years. The Grand Slam tournaments receive complete coverage from major media outlets, professional matches are thrilling, audiences and players are growing, new academies and new courts are being built everywhere in the world. Existing courts number around 300,000 in the U.S.A., Europe and Australia. In ATP and WTA tournaments, automation was introduced in 2025 for the first time with the "ELC Live" system, which carries out the task of line judges. Now automation is brought to a further level with the possible use of REB®. Perhaps in the centre courts the ball boys will remain for reasons of image and prestige, but in all other courts (over 99%) REB® performs the task of collecting any number of balls whenever necessary.
